As a counsellor, my approach is to provide a quiet, non-judgemental and confidential space in which you can explore issues which concern you. These could include relationship issues with friends, family or work colleagues; recent or past bereavements; dealing with stresses in or around you; difficulties related to unhappiness in childhood or as an adult; depression; anger; anxiety, panic attacks.

There may be times that, while family and friends are there, you can feel isolated or unsure how to move forward. You may fell ‘stuck’ and not know how to deal with a difficult issue. You may be unhappy for no apparent reason. In a quiet confidential environment, I would offer you the opportunity to explore whatever concerns you may have and help you to find a way to achieve a better understanding of yourself, your feelings, thoughts and experiences.   

My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do, but to help you make choices which may lead to more understanding, contentment or fulfilment in your life. perhaps viewing things from a
 
My main approach can be either short and long work. I may integrate other therapies when appropriate which could include, for example, brief solution-focused therapy or play/creative therapy depending on the age of client and issues involved.
 
My main private work is at home but other venues are possible for children and young people.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I have Professional Liability Insurance. 
I am DBS checked (enhanced).

The initial consultation is £40 and may take longer than 50 minutes

Sessions at my home address are £40 for 50 minutes. Fees may be different at other locations.
(Reductions to the above fees can be negotiated depending on  individual circumstances e.g. students, the low waged and those on benefits.)
