six acres counselling - to talk and be heard
Thank you for visiting my website.

I have purposefully kept it simple but I do hope it gives you more information about me and the way I work.

As a person centred counsellor, my approach is to provide a quiet, non-judgemental and confidential space in which you can explore issues which concern you. These could include relationship issues with friends, family or work colleagues; recent or past bereavements; low self esteem; dealing with stresses in or around you; difficulties related to unhappiness in childhood or as an adult; self harm; depression; anger; anxiety, panic attacks.

There may be times that, while family and friends may be around, you can feel isolated or unsure how to move forward. You may fell ‘stuck’ and not know how to deal with a difficult issue. You may be unhappy for no apparent reason. In a therapeutic environment  I would offer you the opportunity to explore whatever concerns you may have and help you to find a way to achieve a better understanding of yourself, your feelings, thoughts and experiences.

My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do, but to help you make choices which may lead to more contentment or fulfilment in your life.

My main approach is person centred which can be either short and long term work. I will integrate other therapies when appropriate which could include  brief solution focused therapy and play/creative therapy depending on the age of client and issues involved.

My main private work is at home but other venues are possible for children and young people.
